Auralization makes it possible to hear how a spoken message or a piece of music in any part of a building would sound before the building has been built or refurbished. Speakers or headphones are used to listen to these sounds.

The main advantage of auralization lies in its practical application for the acoustic design of a building. Specifically, it enables designers to ascertain the actual sound quality of any particular design. It saves people unaccustomed to the language of acoustics the effort of understanding the discipline and it facilitates decision-making which, in some cases, can have huge repercussions on the final cost.

At audioscan we have a proprietary auralization system that was developed jointly with the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC).
